Girls Prep Lower East Side Elementary School
Girls Prep LES is the first all-girls charter school in New York City. Our outstanding results led our founders to create the Public Prep Network.
Girls Prep Lower East Side Middle School
The Girls Prep Middle School builds on the strong foundation of our elementary school. We prepare our students to graduate from college and succeed in life.
Girls Prep Bronx Elementary School
Girls Prep Bronx is a new charter school that opened in the South Bronx in the fall of 2009. Our school is a replication of Girls Prep Lower East Side.
Boys Prep Elementary School
In Spring 2010, Public Prep was granted its third charter from SUNY's Charter Schools Institute, in order to open its first all-boys school — the Boys Preparatory Charter School of New York. We are currently accepting applications for the Founding Principal position.

Academic Support
Curriculum Development
Public Prep aids schools in researching, developing and implementing the best possible academic programs.
Special Education Services
Public Prep ensures that all special education students receive support services. The Director of Special Education works with Special Education Coordinators at each school to facilitate teacher training, determine necessary interventions and manage the child study team at each school. Public Prep also refers students for services through the appropriate Committee on Special Education.
Assessment and Analysis
Public Prep will create network-wide interim assessments with principals and specialists, as well as analyze data for school and network use.
Talent Recruitment and Development
Public Prep recruits all network staff. Growing leaders from within is one of our core values. To this end, Public Prep provides training for network staff and aids teachers in obtaining certification.
Finance and Operations
Finance
Public Prep assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports as well as financial audits.
Development
Public Prep conducts all fundraising and partnership initiatives for the network.
Facilities
Public Prep ensures that each school is located in safe and satisfactory facilities.
Reporting
Public Prep coordinates accountability reporting — including annual reports and renewal applications — and ensure all network schools are in compliance with state and federal requirements.
Operations
Public Prep oversees the operations of each network school including negotiating insurance policies, securing employee benefits for the school, and aiding in payroll and technological services.
In-School Support
The Managing Director of Finance and Operations and Director of Operations ensure that Business and Operations Managers at each school are trained and supported.
Student Recruitment
Public Prep recruits students for all network schools.
School Start-Up
Public Prep manages the entire school start-up process — from charter writing to ordering classroom crayons. In this way, schools open fully staffed, with completely trained faculty, and with all necessary supplies and materials.
External Relations
Publicity
Public Prep works to enhance network schools' visibility in the community at large, the education community and the news media.
External Support and Advocacy
Public Prep garners support from organizations, individuals, and government agencies and works with legislators and authorizers on advocacy issues.
