Boys Prep Bronx Male Heroes Walk 

BRONX, NY (September 3rd, 2019):

On September 3rd, Boys Prep Bronx hosted it's annual Male Heroes Walk to warmly welcome their scholars for the 2019-2020 academic year. This successful event continues to grow as the school community welcomes in new families, and the inaugural class persists to and through 8th grade. Male figures including: professionals, family members, school staff and the Public Prep network staff surrounded the procession, as classroom teachers led the way down the main hall to their classrooms. Returning scholars knew just what to do when offered a hand to shake or high five. New scholars quickly got on board. The beauty of this event, is that each scholar has the chance to interact with at least one person on their way into the building. We know that morning greetings make a huge difference for scholars, family and even staff members, in helping them to feel acknowledged and empowered to do what they came to do at school. The annual Male Heroes Walk will be a tradition for many years to come. We look forward to new and returning families joining us for this exciting celebration.
