Our Schools
Public Prep currently supports three schools in New York City—two elementary schools and one middle school.
Girls Prep Lower East Side Elementary School
Girls Prep Lower East Side (Girls Prep LES), Public Prep’s flagship school, was the first all-girls charter school in New York City. The school opened in 2005 and has grown to a complete K-4 elementary school. In 2009, Girls Prep ranked among the top five charter schools in New York on the statewide tests.
Girls Prep LES offers absolute preference to Community School District 1 (CSD1) families. That said, we welcome applicants from anywhere in New York City.

Girls Prep Lower East Side Middle School
Girls Prep Lower East Side Middle School (Girls Prep LES Middle) opened in the fall of 2009 and is currently serving grades 5-8. Girls Prep Middle School students have an extended day, to ensure that their academic needs are met and exceeded. Upon graduation, our girls will be ready to enter the best college prep high schools in New York.

Girls Prep Bronx Elementary School
Girls Prep Bronx opened in the fall of 2009 with kindergarten and first grade and will grow a grade per year until it reaches capacity as a K-5 school in 2013. Girls Prep Bronx is the sister school to Girls Prep Lower East Side.
We offer absolute preference for Community School District 8 students, but still welcome students from anywhere in New York City.
