Careers at Girls Prep Lower East Side
Applying to Public Prep
Thank you for your interest in working with Public Prep! Each member of our network plays a critical role in helping us realize our mission. Please review the information below in order to successfully begin our application process.
How do I apply?
All applicants must submit an application online. Please note that we do not accept application materials via email or fax. All positions available within our network are posted on our Recruit & Hire website. If the position you are seeking is not posted, we recommend subscribing for job alerts or checking the site periodically.
The fields on the Recruit & Hire system with *asterisks* are required, and the fields without asterisks are optional. All applications require;
- cover letter
- contact information for at least three professional references, including at least one current or former supervisor (we will not contact friends or relatives). If you have trouble with your application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
What Happens After I Submit? If you pass our initial application materials screen, a member of the Public Prep Recruitment Team will reach out to you to schedule a phone interview. Candidates who pass the phone screen are scheduled for an in-person interview. This stage includes a demonstration of skills and an interview with the supervisor for the role. Subsequent steps include meeting with other members of our team and speaking with your references.
Am I qualified?
Please review job descriptions for qualifications for each role. Teachers at our schools are required to be NYS Certified and to create a profile on TEACH. If you are working towards state reciprocity or obtaining your certificate, we have a consultant who can help you navigate the process upon hire. Please note that requirements vary by state. Please visit here to check on your eligibility for reciprocity.
