Since our closure of physical buildings on March 13 as a result of COVID-19, Public Prep has prioritized the health, safety and well-being of our community — scholars, staff and families — while simultaneously maintaining a steadfast commitment to equity in education for the community that we serve.
Every day of learning counts, and we are proud that we are now in our second week of the 20-21 school year. Because we start early with the end in mind, as our mission states, 2,100 scholars are receiving remote instruction that is engaging, rigorous, and tailored to all scholars. That means 2,100 virtual home visits, 2,100 devices in the hands of our scholars, and the joy of learning zoomed across screens. Share in the memories by watching our Welcome Week recap:
Our reopening plan responds to changes in public health conditions and government guidelines and recommendations. Our 3-phase model honors the commitment and promise that Public Prep makes to its families: ALL scholars will continue to learn and grow in any academic setting, remote or in person.

As we launched Phase 1 last week, we maintain two key priorities:
And we are delivering on these priorities:
They are very consistent providing updates. Very supportive as they ensure that my child has what she needs to complete her work. Very dedicated and keeping me informed of what my child is doing or needs to do. Very informative and using different methods of communication.
Amidst state funding cuts, we must still deliver the Public Prep promise. We are so grateful for your support during this time; we couldn’t do this work without you.
In Partnership,
